Wellspring Philanthropic Fund supported the realization of human rights and social and economic justice for all people.

After 25 years of grantmaking rooted in respect for the dignity and worth of every human being and our commitment to human rights, economic justice, and building power among marginalized communities, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund will complete all grantmaking commitments by the end of 2026 and conclude operations in early 2027.

Since Wellspring launched in 2001, we have believed social justice movements should employ means consistent with their ideals and give agency to the people whose interests they seek to advance. Wellspring is proud to have supported thousands of organizations in their work to support and strengthen communities in the U.S. and across the globe. The work of dedicated and amazing organizations has reminded Wellspring, as an institution and as a committed staff, of the power of movements to demand more and to drive change for a better society and world.
